Thank you to everyone who attended Body&Soul 2018…

Summer Solstice Weekend, 21st – 23rd June, 2019 at Ballinlough Castle, Westmeath, Ireland

Body&Soul is a celebration of life, diversity, music, culture and the arts across three days and nights, hosted on one of Ireland’s most stunning country estates.

Every year our latest crew of Body&Soulers make the pilgrimage to this beautiful, verdant land that is transformed into a colourful festival village. It’s filled with hand-crafted stages, 15th century walled gardens, hidden forest dens, magnificent art trails and al fresco spas where the only rule is to expect the unexpected.

What began as a back garden gathering has slowly grown into an unrivalled event, where every moment is curated and every sound considered. Body&Soul is comprised of creative collectives from Ireland and abroad that have sought to push the limits and explore the fringes of how the festival mould can benefit the world around it. Beyond the music there is plenty to enjoy from a masquerade ball to culinary delights from independent producers from all around Ireland, from steaming hot tubs and seaweed baths to spoken word performances and poetry readings, from late night raves to early morning magic.

The festival is also dedicated to reducing our impact on the land, taking new steps each year to make the festival more sustainable. Through affecting positive change we want to continue to use the land that hosts us for many years to come, and we encourage our Body&Soulers to join in the journey.

We’re an independent festival with a heart-shaped mind and a cutting-edge soul.

Our Late Bird tickets, as well as Instalment Plan tickets, are now available here.

FAQs

The Essentials

Where & When is Body&Soul Festival 2019?
Body&Soul Festival 2019 will take place on the Summer Solstice Weekend, 21st – 23rd June at Ballinlough Castle, Clonmellon, Co. Westmeath.

How much are tickets and where can I buy them?
Tickets are available to purchase from our official ticketing partner Ticketbooth. Late Bird tickets are currently on sale at the cost of €159. The event is strictly over 20s and photo ID will be required (passport/ driver’s licence / Garda age cards).

I can’t go anymore, can I get a refund?
All tickets are non-refundable.

What about if I want to give my ticket to a friend?
You can transfer a ticket to a friend by logging into your Ticketbooth account and paying a name change fee. We require that the correct name is on your ticket in order to enter the festival.

want to bring my child, do they need a ticket?
Body&Soul Festival is an over 20s event. Photo ID will have to be presented if age is in question. However, children under 12 are admitted free of charge when accompanied by a parent with a Family Camping Ticket (max. two children per ticket-holding adult) or a Sunday Day Ticket. You register your child at the point of sale via Ticketbooth. 13-19 year olds are not permitted, even when accompanied by an adult.

I’m under the age of 20, can I attend Body&Soul?
Body&Soul is a strictly over 20s event and you are required to provide proof of age when you attend (driver’s license / passport / Garda ID). Our age guidelines are due to the nature of our programming, which we feel is best suited to those 20 and over. We do however provide a children’s programme for children under 12 and you can attend with your children by purchasing a family ticket. See above query for more details.

Camping Info

What is the Us&You Campsite? Why should I book an Us&You Ticket?
The Us&you campsite is a ‘green campsite’ for conscious campers. It’s where the soundest people at the festival camp, basically. We strive to make the festival more environmentally sustainable. Us&You campers enjoy faster entry to the festival, dedicated eco-facilities and a programme of events at our café. There are lots of other treats we’ll reveal closer to the festival. Body&Soul’s aim is to eventually expand the Us&You campsite to cover the entire festival campgrounds. As always, we need You to help Us to achieve this.

I want to camp in the Boutique Campsite, what are my options?
This year, we’ll be offering Boutique Camping options through our ticketing provider, Ticketbooth and also through our camping providers Silk Road, LPM Bohemia and Pitched Perfect. You can purchase via either our system or theirs to secure your spot in the Boutique Campsite. Terms and conditions apply and you may be required to pay a deposit, please read these before you purchase. These packages will become available closer to the festival, keep an eye out on our newsletter for release dates.

I want to pick up my tent at the festival, how can I do this?
We work with Pamper the Camper to provide camping packages that you can collect at the festival. These packages are available through our ticketing provider, Ticketbooth, and also through the Pamper the Camper website. These packages will become available closer to the festival, keep an eye out on our newsletter for release dates.

Can I park my car beside my tent?
No, vehicles are not permitted into any of the campsites or the campervan area for health and safety reasons.

What about if I have a campervan?
Campervans are permitted into either the campervan area or the family campervan area with a Campervan Pass. We would define a caravan as having its own built-in kitchen and toilet. These are available via our ticketing provider, Ticketbooth. You can purchase yours here. You’ll need one campervan pass per vehicle and this is required for you to enter your campervan area. We do not permit tents to be pitched beside your campervan and there are no electrical hookups or generators allowed in the campervan area for health and safety reasons.

Can I bring a caravan?
Yes, you can park a caravan in the campervan area. However, once positioned you will need to unhitch and park your car in one of the car parks. Please note that a campervan pass will need to be purchased for your caravan.

Can I park a commercial style van (hi-ace, transit, etc.) in the campervan area if I have a campervan pass?
No, sorry. Only proper purpose-built or adapted live-in vehicles will be permitted.

Can I bring my pet?
No, we don’t allow pets on site.

Can I bring a gazebo?
No, we don’t allow gazebos for health and safety reasons.

I want to book in for a hot tub with the Immerse Spa Experience, how do I do it?
The Immerse Spa Experience is where you can find our wood fired hot tubs and Irish seaweed baths and it is available to book either on site in person at the festival or through our online booking system which will be open in early 2019.

Families at Body&Soul

What is included in a Family Ticket?
We’re aware that families come in all shapes and sizes. With that in mind, our family ticket grants one adult and two children access to the Family Campsite. The Family Campsite includes its own independent entrance, dedicated shower and toilet facilities and the invitation to enjoy the full programme of Soul Kids activities on offer. If your family includes more than one adult, then each additional adult should purchase their own Family Camping ticket at the same price as a traditional Weekend Camping pass.

Can children over 12 attend the festival?
Currently, Body&Soul only provides appropriate programming for children under 12. Our Family Campsite activities and Soul Kids area is specifically designed with under 12s in mind and we don’t currently provide adequate support for teenagers. For this reason, we restrict family tickets to children 12 and under.

I want to arrive at the Family Campsite before my children, can I gain access?
Our policy is that adults must be with their children in order to gain access to the family campsite. Families have a dedicated entrance to their campsite away from other campers and it is a requirement that you have your children with you in order to obtain your wristbands and gain access to the family campsite.

I bought a family campervan pass, where do I go?
If you purchased a family campervan pass you can enter the festival site via the family entrance. If you do not wish to camp in the family campsite please purchase a general campervan pass.

If you are driving, fill your car with people, car share, drive efficiently and bring less stuff.

Car pooling means less stress, more craic, smaller queues on arrival and it’s way better for the environment. Carpooling will help you find people driving to the festival who are willing to lift share.

This year we have partnered with Go Car Share to organise lifts to and from the festival, you can register yourself and either offer a lift or request one through their site here.

Alternatively, use Facebook or Twitter and search the hashtags #ecobodysoul or #bodysoul18 to find carpoolers. Drivers of full cars may even be rewarded with a Green VIP Pack.
