The Irish Times at the Woodlands Stage

Body&Soul continues its storied legacy of hosting provocative ideas and discussions that forward social change with The Irish Times on the Woodlands Stage on Saturday, 20th June at the 11th annual event.

A vital forum for debate, dining and meeting of like minds, the Irish Times Woodlands Stage programme is a must do for those hungry to feast on new ideas and yearning for new perspectives on the topics that shape our times. Anchored in the festival's 2020 theme of ‘Purpose’, the carefully selected panelists are sure to ignite conversations and shake up perspectives.

Catherine Cleary hosts a scintillating and delicious panel on ‘ Food For Good - A Conversation About How Great Food Can Benefit Everyone’ with An Ghrian Glas food producer/farmer Kate Egan, My Goodness Cafe owner Virginia O’Gara and others.

The Inside Politics Podcast will take the reclaimed stage to attempt to dissect the imposing question ‘Is It Time To Separate Church and State?’ Director of the Iona institute David Quinn, Irish Times religious affairs correspondent Patsy McGarry, researcher and academic Maeve O’Rourke and Fine Gael TD Josepha Madigan will debate the merits of the Catholic Church’s relationship with the Irish state and whether it’s time to cut ties, all hosted by Irish Times host Hugh Linehan.

Carrying us into the evening is The Conversation with Hugh Linehan with special guests, while featured Ticket musical act Denise ChailakPfqgbRhRkE07eTKwtymbo59iSYpGAQtuPLwny6aBWXzHqJb3yQFeBhXOtkmc1kgex7T6kcQf9tw8ybJdK2mLTbZ74X96H-_uuQofu8WpFCglrQ0I1XrDYB9C7HWVITWFKzwI3ycsets hands flying into the solstice night sky as she closes the day with her signature blend of hip hop, social justice and symphonic prowess.
