Ivor Browne (Opening the Heart) Q&A with Donal Dineen

Dr. Ivor Browne is a retired Irish psychiatrist, author, former Chief Psychiatrist of the Eastern Health Board, and Professor emeritus of psychiatry at University College Dublin. He is known for his opposition to traditional psychiatry and his scepticism about psychiatric drugs. As Chief Psychiatrist for the Eastern Health Board, Ivor tried to reform the Irish mental health system but faced enormous opposition from those who couldn’t accept his unorthodox methods. He suggests that the heart, rather than the brain, is the centre of our being. Donal Dineen will be joining Ivor to discuss ‘Music & Madness’, Ivor’s autobiography.
