Méabh Ní Bheaglaoich, Eoin Ó Beaglaoich and Mikie Smyth are a traditional music ensemble of singing, accordion, concertina and uilleann pipes primarily focusing on the music and song stylings of West Kerry. Siblings Méabh and Eoin come from a musical family based in the Gaeltacht area of theDingle Peninsula in County Kerry. Both began to play music at young ages and learnt a lot of their early music from their father, accordion player and singer Séamus Begley. Both have branched out into separate musical careers and individually have collaborated with several critically acclaimed Irish music acts such as Téada, Liam Ó Maonlaí and Shaun Davey to name but a few. Mikie began playing the pipes over 21 years ago in the Pipers Club in Henrietta Street, Dublin. He has recorded with Donal Lunny, Maurice Lennon, Sean Keane and ‘The Rubberbandits. All three musicians throughout their respective careers have performed all over the world in countries such as Japan, Taiwan, USA, Canada and Russia and most recently collaborated with guitarist Bréanainn Begley to perform in Amsterdam.
