Featured as part of The Irish Times “50 People to watch in 2017”, Goldenplec’s “Plec Picks 2017” and Nialler9’s “Best Songs of 2016” it’s fair to say that BARQ have hit the ground running this year.
An established festival favourite and a live force not to be taken lightly, BARQ take the raw attitude of rock, run it through with elastic funk grooves and arrive at a show-stopping sound they have dubbed “Agro-Soul”. One of the most talked about bands in Ireland over the last 12 months, wowing crowds at a number of leading festivals across the country as well as being one of 13 Irish acts in RTÉ 2FM’s 100 most played artists of 2016. BARQ are now preparing for their first tour, with dates in the UK and Ireland.
They’ve knocked our socks off before and it’s a real treat to welcome them back. This, as they say themselves, is music to dance dangerously to.
