Catscars makes electronic goth pop using Nintendo DSs paired with dystopian motorik drums, electronics and energized enthusiasm. Catscars has been producing music for over a decade and has a new album on the way. In more recent years the focus has been on using the Nintendo DS to create dark but beat driven pop tunes that explore themes of modernity, the city, isolation and social ills. Renowned producer and DJ Andrew Weatherall included Catscars in his 2016 compilation “favourites from the past and present.” She was also Whelans and State Magazine’s One To Watch in 2011 and 2012. She has played internationally and collaborated with many other acts. Her first album, Construction (2011), was critically acclaimed by Rough Trade, Nialler9 and Sone Records (Japan).
