Eddie Kay is a stalwart on the Irish dance music scene and has been playing records and keeping people dancing since 1996. Over his 20 year career as a DJ, he has played alongside a plethora of international talent, including the likes of Hercules & Love Affair, Solomon, Roisin Murphy, Crazy P, Frankie Knuckles, The 2 Bears, Dimitry from Paris, Bicep, Horse Meat Disco and Scissor Sisters to name but a few!
Eddie has played extensively throughout Ireland and abroad, with long-running residencies in some well-known clubs and festival stages is also a regular guest at two of Irelands most acclaimed gay nights, Sweatbox and MOTHER, both held in Ireland’s capital city of Dublin. One of Eddie’s longest running residencies was held for over 3 years at legendary music venue Sir Henry’s. Eddie has also had featured mixes on national stations 2FM, Today FM and regular compiles charts for numerous online music stations such as Ministry of Sound Radio.
Eddie currently runs an intimate late night dancing venue in his hometown of Cork called Minus where local talent like Fish Go Deep, John Daly and Sunday Times spin regularly with international guests such as Shit Robot (DFA Records), Daniel Wang, Horse Meat Disco and KON regularly on Saturday nights. When he’s not busy throwing parties Eddie is in the studio collaborating with New York Producer Glen Brady (Dj Wool) and Irish singer-songwriter Jack O Rourke on an EP released in autumn 2017.
Eddie’s unique style and energy behind the decks is what has made him a busy man to date. Eddie plays everything from Disco through to Jackin House depending on his audience. One sure thing about Eddie is that he always plays to the crowd and never fails to rock a party!
