Jon Hopkins (Live)
Transcending genres as an electronic producer, Jon Hopkins has been incredibly busy since the release of 2013′s Immunity, his fourth studio album. Immunity’s organic, symphonic techno has been a slow burning, high reaching success worldwide for Hopkins. Hopkin’s intention with the album was “to try and create a transcendent state through music.”, something he achieved outright.
“Hopkins’s beats shuffle and trip but there is a great clarity of focus throughout, and a delicate beauty.” – The Guardian
Since Immunity, in addition to working on his fifth solo album, projects have included collaborations with Natasha Khan of Bat For Lashes and Bonobo, and productions for London Grammar and Coldplay. Now, in 2018, Hopkins has put his focus again on the festivals and dancefloors of the world. We’re more than excited for him to work his magic in Ballinlough this June.
