Jon Pierce

Encompassing a wide-ranging career and embracing a wide spectrum of aural appreciation, Jon Pierce (a.k.a da wiseguy) has been DJing for 25 years and collecting music for many more. He has held residencies in London and Dublin at bars, clubs, hotels and restaurants, played at festivals such as Body&Soul, Fringe Fest and at more infamous gatherings such as the Midnight Picnic raves at EP. He helmed long-standing radio shows on Jazz FM, Nova947, Power FM and RTE Pulse (with slots on 2FM) and was part of many live outside broadcasts from clubs and events in Dublin and Belfast. Along the way he’s supported the likes of the Plump DJs, Timmy Stewart, Carl Cox, and homegrown talent such as the Dirty Dubsters, hosted events such as the European premiere of Rewind4Ever and set the soundtrack to shows at Farmleigh House, to name but a few. But whether behind the decks, behind the mic or behind the scenes and whatever the genre or whatever the location, it’s all about going on a bit of a journey. Music sets the scene, the tone and the emotion and whatever your taste or preference, it’s all about the love of music. Love music…love life. Play it loud, play it proud!
