Pilgrim

Pilgrim is an Irishman’s wild odyssey through a world set ablaze. Thousands of refugees from all corners of the globe are grounded in Newfoundland on the fallout of 9/11. In this surreal, inverted world, Christopher’s life pulls into focus.

Performed by Rex Ryan and written by award-winning playwright Philip Doherty for one of Ireland’s most dynamic theatre company’s The Gonzo Theatre, Pilgrim premiered at the Dublin Fringe Festival ’14 before touring to the Edinburgh Fringe and the UK. Pilgrim has received a Fishamble New Writing Award nomination and Rex Ryan was nominated for best actor at the Manchester Theatre Awards.
