Having begun making music from the age of the 13, Winchester born, London based musician Rozi Plain will be making her Body&Soul debut at the Food on Board stage this June. Collaborating with friends Kate Stables (This is The Kit) and Rachael Dadd among others in the thriving music scene in Bristol, Rozi made her first two albums 2008’s Inside Over Here and 2012’s Joined Sometimes Unjoined. Each body of work a deliciously sad and beautiful pop full of heart-wrenching harmonies dotted with unexpected instrumental flourished. Her third release Friend, described by Louder than War as “an album of interesting, sophisticated synth-pop full of originality and artistic experimentation.” This was followed up with 2016 release Friend of a Friend, a limited edition album featuring remixes, sessions and unreleased tracks from 2015 album Friend.
Almost permanently on tour, Rozi has taken her joyous live show on the road countless times across Europe, the UK and the USA. She has appeared at festivals including SXSW, Iceland Airwaves, Glastonbury, End of the Road, Latitude, BBC 6Music Festival, Green Man and is also a member of This is The Kit, Rozi has toured widely including an opening slot for The National on their European tour.
