Veuve Clicquot Sparkling Conversations: Music Makers Panel

The Music Makers Panel will feature DJ Kelly-Anne Byrne, DJ Sally Cinnamon and DJ Tara Stewart chatting about the exciting landscape of the music industry.

Kelly-Anne Byrne

In recent years Kelly-Anne Byrne has earned a reputation as one of the finest selectors on the air waves and one of Ireland’s top djs. Her DJ career began 15 years ago when a large vinyl collection and a love of soul and disco prompted her to drop a mixtape into The Dice Bar. From that point on she has been entertaining crowds all over the country with top slots at all of Ireland’s festivals including; Electric Picnic, Longitude, Indiependence, Sea Sessions, Metropolis and Forbidden Fruit. In February 2013 she began presenting The Saturday Weekender on Phantom 105.2 which earned her a nomination for Best Newcomer at the PPI Radio Awards. She then went on to present the evening show on TXFM Dublin for two years which earned her a Best Radio DJ nomination. She currently presents The Beat Goes On on Saturdays and Sundays on Today FM. She has supported major acts such as Chic and The Jackson 5. Kelly-Anne is the promoter/resident DJ at monthly night BURNIN’ UP in The Grand Social and also appears regularly at Mother Club and The Workman’s.

Sally Cinnamon

Everybody wants to be a DJ and it ain’t rocket science… it’s a lot more fun. The job of the selector is similar to the storyteller and one of the finest selectors is Sally Cinnamon, a spinner of both classic yarns & diamond vinyl gems. Of course there’s no magic formula to being a DJ but an intrinsic love of dancing is a definite prerequisite. Sally Cinnamon sure can dance and she’s good at turning standing-theres and sitting-downers into dancers too. That’s the skill that sets her apart. She makes you want to put on your red shoes and dance the blues or perhaps even the night itself away. Either way it’s infectious, contagious and very often glorious.

Tara Stewart

Based in Dublin but born in Australia, Tara Stewart will be a recognizable voice to anyone who listens to Irish radio. Presenter, entertainment reporter and music journalist for RTE 2fm, TV3’s Elaine Show and District magazine respectively, Stewart has Dj’d at festivals around the country. A popular performer at the Electric Picnic, Stewart will be bringing a fresh floor filler of a set to Body&Soul in June.
