A walk through some of the earliest memories of Hip Hop in Ireland, when it landed in the mid 80’s, the landscape, how the 5 pillars combined to create the early scene. It’s evolution as the club scene kicked off in the 90’s, the rise of Ireland’s first wave of Dj’s, Mc’s, Graf writers, break dancers and beatboxers and its path way to the 2000’s, Irish Hip Hop on the radio, key festivals and gigs. recording artists, major record deals and the people who greased the wheels of the community to where it stands today.. Via music and chats, Stevie G will walk through a timeline of notable moments in the Irish hip hop scene and the various people who have contributed to the culture historically..
