Dublin singer-songwriter Ailbhe Reddy has been touted by the Irish Times as one of Ireland’s Brightest Young Talents and one to watch in 2023. Her critically acclaimed Choice Music Prize-nominated debut album Personal History garnered industry plaudits and fans alike upon its release in 2020. She played a headline show at Dublin’s Button Factory and appeared on The Late Late Show. 2022 saw Ailbhe make her debut at The Great Escape, Visions Festival and Latitude Festival winning great swathes of new fans along the way.
She releases her follow up album Endless Affair in March 2023. Its opening run of tracks – in particular the single ‘Shitshow’ and ‘Inhaling’- crave revelry and reflect on the wilder side of a youth increasingly viewed in the rear-view mirror. Single ‘Shoulderblades’ is another stand out track; Ailbhe explains, ‘It is an attempt at encapsulating the quiet love you can feel for someone when you’re inhabiting the same space. Watching how they go about their day, drink their coffee, read their book. Just appreciating being around them.’ Fans of Phoebe Bridgers and Fiona Apple will find much to love in Reddy’s soulful indie-pop.
