Across 3 albums, hundreds of live shows the world over and major TV and film soundtracks Kormac has honed his craft, twisting organic sounds into wide screen electronica.
This year he has released his most ambitious album yet, Equivalent Exchange. It is the culmination of three years’ work fusing his unique brand of electronica with an orchestra, an array of vocalists, rappers and left-field musicians creating a suite of music that is equally as at home on the dance-floor as the big screen. Kormac will be performing the project in full at Body & Soul ‘23
The album was released on his new imprint, Always the Sound. A collaboration between Kormac, All City Records (Onra, HudMo, Machinedrum, Kutmah) and CWB management.
Kormac started out as a hip-hop scratch DJ and MPC beat-maker. Through his innovative use of live instruments and stunning audio visual setups in electronic/club environments as well as collaborations with artists Jafaris, Loah, Irvine Welsh, Saint Sister, Micah P. Hinson, DJ Yoda, Narolane, Speech Debelle, Irish Chamber Orchestra and many more, he established himself as a groundbreaking, forward thinking live and studio presence.
