Bucky’s Circus Skills
Bucky’s circus has been at festivals since 1977. The founder, Paul Taylor, has been working as a performer and clown for the same duration and is currently employed as a clown doctor at the Royal Hospital in Belfast as well as working freelance for the Belfast Community Circus School, Streetwise CIC and In your Space. Bucky’s Circus feels that it is immensely gratifying to see children try and learn a skill and succeed. Circus is a broad medium and every child will be able to challenge themselves at their own level. The circus is non-competitive and non-academic and can change the hierarchy that exists within school grounds. A child may realise that it can achieve something and grow more confident and willing to try new and different experiences and challenges.
Join in the fun and learn some circus skills! We offer a range of circus skills, like juggling, diabolo, hula hoops and handheld stilts. For 2 hours participants can drop in and try some circus skills. These workshops are accessible for people of all ages, abilities and skill levels. We try to include everyone who is interested in our workshops and are more than willing to amend our workshop for people with specific needs, if possible.
